Certus Trading Reviews: Why Every Student Should Have a Mentor
As a trader/educator, there are few things more rewarding as students telling you that they had a positive experience with your mentoring and that they learned from what you taught them. Let’s face it – reviews are a treasure because they provide valuable feedback about how your students are performing, and at the same time, it feels good to be recognized for something that you take pride in doing.
When I was starting out, I had the privilege of a mentor’s guidance helping me along my journey. George Fontanills taught me everything there is to know about trading strategies, but much more importantly, he helped me discover who I am as a trader. George helped me hone in on my true personality and also helped guide me away from the pitfalls. For example, he knew patience wasn’t my strong-suit which meant longer-term investments were not going to work for me. He also knew that I can’t sit still and watch the screen all day, so day trading wasn’t for me either. It was George who helped me find a perfect equilibrium in swing trading, and that’s where I found success trading over the past 18 years.
Those two years that I spent with George were significant in shaping my success as a trader. One takeaway I learned from him was believing in ourselves, knowing that we can do it because we have done it time and time again, gives us the confidence to seize the moment and be successful. George, who was one of the best traders in the world, passed away a few years ago. His teachings and mentorship are what influenced me to want to help others on the same journey.
From my own experience, if you want to get to that next level, I suggest finding a mentor who has already achieved what you want to accomplish.
Even though I have always been a self-starter, one of the best decisions I’ve ever made was to find someone like George to coach me. He probably saved me a good four to five years of time when it comes to becoming a successful trader.
I started Certus Trading to help people achieve their dreams of being better, more knowledgeable traders. I’m passionate about trading; I’m passionate about teaching my students the trading strategies I have mastered; I want to help shape my students’ winning mindset; and I love nothing more than to watch my students succeed.
